Our Story

The Elwha RV Park Story.

A Mature Evergreen Forest

The Elwha RV Park sits inside a mature evergreen forest alongside the Olympic National Forest and the Elwha River gorge — former home of the Lower Elwha Dam.

If you are into biking, rock-hounding, hiking, catching sunsets, bird-watching, hydroponics & gardens, or simply soaking in nature's best, this is the place for you.

"We love sharing a space & environment which empowers you to escape, reset, & rejuvenate."

By a Dam Site

Still the best park by a dam site.

Although the dams have been removed from the river, the park has retained the name. David and Chris agree with the previous owner: "It will always be the site of the old dam, so it will still be the Best RV Park by a Dam Site."

You'll find this park conveniently located just off of Scenic Highway 112, by the beautiful Elwha River Canyon and the former Elwha Dam site — a peaceful setting in the woods, convenient to fishing, boating, and beachcombing on the North Olympic Coast, as well as hiking and biking trails in the Olympic National Park.

Centrally Located

Minutes from everything.

Elwha RV Park is placed conveniently just minutes from Olympic National Park and six miles from Port Angeles with shops, restaurants, and the Victoria, BC Ferry. The first ocean beach and the Olympic Discovery Trail are only a couple miles away.

Not too much further on is our beautiful glacial Lake Crescent, the Olympic National Park waterfall trailheads, and the Hoh Rainforest.

With private woodsy sites and big-rig pull-throughs, RV tips & guidance, personalized concierge services, eBike rentals, and wood-fired pizza nights — you will want to make the Elwha RV Park your "home away from home."

Meet Our Team

The friendly faces of Elwha.

The Elwha RV Park team

We are so thankful for the friendly faces that make up our growing Elwha RV Park Team. This place wouldn't be the same without them.

Our mission is to impact the lives of our guests with value and extraordinary experiences through camping and outdoor adventures — greeting you with a smile and serving as your gateway to the wild Olympic Peninsula.

About the Owners

The DeLano family.

David, Chris, and their family have always had fun with the wilderness. They come from a ranch in Eastern Washington where they worked together in hospitality for many years, so making the switch to the Elwha area and RV Park seemed to be the perfect fit.

David and Chris manage the park with their family and an expanding team — eager to serve and share their expert knowledge of the incredible natural wonders around them.

"It has a peaceful healing vibe, with majesty all around: the mountain peaks in the distance; the splendor of the forest, lakes, and waterfalls; the Strait of Juan de Fuca and ocean experience five minutes away; a Victoria, BC international experience just a boat ride away; plus a community of service that suits a family's needs."

Passing the baton.

After thirteen years, former owner Bobbi Fuller passed the baton to David Mark, his wife Chris, and their children. This family has a background in hospitality and operates the park with vibrancy and passion. The beautifully landscaped, 18-acre park is located on Lower Dam Road, adjacent to the former Elwha Dam on Highway 112.
